Do I have to use a Lone Star theme to work with 5 Kings?
No. We work on whatever BigCommerce theme you have — Lone Star, Stencil-native, custom, or whatever your previous agency left you with. The Lone Star partnership is an option for clients who want a premium theme without going through a separate design agency. If you already have a theme you love, we will optimize inside it.
Does Lone Star do SEO?
Lone Star focuses on themes, custom design, and custom dev. Their team will tell you themselves that sustained SEO is not their lane. For organic growth that compounds month over month, they refer clients to us. This split is intentional — each team stays sharp on what they actually ship well.
Is the Parts Warehouse BluePrint theme free to use?
Yes — the full theme is published on the Lone Star Templates GitHub organization under the Bigcommerce_parts_warehouse_theme repository. It is the BluePrint (legacy) framework, so it ships with all the standard BigCommerce BluePrint templates — account, checkout, payment gateways (Authorize.Net, Braintree, PayPal, eSelect Plus, eWay, iDEAL, NMI, PayFlow Pro, Valutec), vendor pages, gift certificates, blog, and print templates. It is maintained by Justin Tidrow at Lone Star Templates.
What about the Cavio Parts theme for newer BigCommerce stores?
The Cavio Parts theme (released Feb 2025) is the Stencil-framework version — for new BigCommerce stores, not legacy BluePrint stores. It is built for the same parts / automotive vertical as the BluePrint theme. If you are launching a new parts store on Stencil, Lone Star ships the Cavio Parts theme and we layer SEO on top.
Who handles the migration to a Lone Star theme?
Lone Star handles theme deployment and any custom dev. We handle the SEO-side of the migration: pre-migration organic baseline, 301 redirect audit, post-launch search-console re-verification, and indexation cleanup. The split is intentional — Lone Star owns the storefront, 5 Kings owns the organic + paid layer.
What does a joint engagement cost?
